Gavin making Parker LAUGH

Gavin can make Parker laugh more than anyone else. I had to capture the moment.

Pumpkin Carving

With his pumpkin...so excited!
"See!"
Trying to get him to smile. He is saying "Cheese!"
Parker was a fan too.
So sweet.

Baby Food is for BABIES!

Parker is already eating real food. He loves strawberries, bananas, pancakes, muffins, and goldfish so far. He does a really good job chewing it up. He choked a few times, but gags it up really well. : ) Gavin was to same way. They are not fans of babyfood; they would rather eat what we eat, just in small pieces!
Grabing more...
Chewing it up...(bugger nose, he has a little cold, sorry...kinda gross)
mmmmmmm.....

Silly, Silly Guys!

I love my Parkey-Poo!
Gavin wearing his FAVORITE sweatshirt. It has super heroes all over it; Spiderman, Ironman, and the Hulk. He wants to wear it everyday! He loves superheros, and is convinced he is one most of the time! He cracks me up, such a great imagination.
They were playing so nice together, I had to capture the rare moment.
Ahoy there!

Parker "Communicating"!

Gavin and Parker communicating with each other. It was really cute. Parker is pretty silly and is really trying to get attention. Gavin loves it and thinks it is so funny. Check it out...

Mr. Pirate Pumpkin

Last Halloween I bought these great Mr. Potato Head pumpkin decorating kits. They are the best. Super cute and easy. We are going to carve a pumpkin too, but not until it gets a little closer. Gavin had a blast decorating his pumpkin, and had a lot of fun switching the pieces around too!

Everyday is Halloween here at our house. Gavin is convinced that when he is wearing his Batman mask he really is Batman, or when he has a spider on his clothes then he is Spiderman. He is totally obsessed with super heroes and can not get enough. I guess this is what having a boy is all about!
He created a "pumpkin tower"!
Pushing really hard!
He had to give his pirate pumpkin some love. (Tonight at the gym, they daycare lady asked him for a hug goodbye, and he said no a kiss. He is a super love bug. I hope it never changes!)
Gavin with a pirate ear ring in his ear. He loves his pumpkin.
Mr. Pirate Pumpkin all finished! Isn't he cute!

Mud Run!

Well I competed in my 3rd Mud Run. This one was by far the best. I felt prepared and able to give it my all. The first year I did it with my sister, Alison. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into so we took it somewhat easy. The second year I ran it when Gavin was only 7 weeks old. I did it with my Dad. I thought this would help me loose all the baby weight. I did pretty dang good, considering I just had a baby, if I say so myself! ;) And this year, Parker is 6 months old and I have done it enough to know what challenges are ahead. My Dad freakin' kicks my butt though. If you ran with him you would have no idea he is pushing 60! He is truly my inspiration. This man does not slow down! He rocks!!! It is so fun to do things like this with my Dad. It is our special bonding, and I really enjoy it. Thanks Dad for being my running "coach"!

All clean before the race!
After the race! Ewwwww......but so FUN!
Patiently waiting for our finish! Gavin wanted to run in the mud too. He told Kyle, "Daddy, I'm going to go run, okay!" And began to run along side the runners. Then he said, "I'm going to go swim in the mud, okay!" And snuck under the fence and tried to go in the mud pool. So crazy!
The best baby in the world, and no I am not being bias. He is so happy and content. When I say happy, I think that is an understatement. If you know Parker, then you know what I am talking about. This baby never cries!
Our dirty feet! Yes my socks were white before the race! And I think my Dad has better legs then I do...his are on the right and mine are on the left...see what I mean!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Happy Birthday, Kyle! We just had a small family dinner at our house to celebrate Kyle's birthday. The meal was packed with all of Kyle's favorites: pork chops, Sean's rolls and apple crisp for dessert. It was so fun to be with everyone, I know how tricky it is to all get together, so I really enjoyed everyone making it out to celebrate Kyle.

I am so grateful for Kyle (aka Kyky!). He is the best husband and dad to our kids. I know everyone says that, but in this case it is true. He really strives to make me super happy and content. He always knows how to make me feel special. I have to say, I truly could not ask for anything more! And as far as a dad goes, there is no one near comparison! He makes time for our boys and is always thinking of a new game or activity to do with Gavin to make him happy. And with Parker,  he is the one who can really make him laugh. He can get him rolling with laughter, giggles! I love him more than I can say, and I really feel like a better, more loving person because of him and his influence. I hope you have a great birthday and year, sweetie. I love you!
Me and the birthday boy!
Gavin and Uncle Greg! Greg is so awesome with Gavin. Gavin is always asking to see Uncle Greg, and when he does get to see him he is never let down. Greg is super playful with him and loves to roll around and be silly. He is an amazing uncle. Thanks Greg for loving my kids, they sure love you!
Watching YouTube. Why does every family gathering have to be around a TV or computer? What happened to the good old days of conversation?
Kyle and Gavin with Sean (Kyle's older brother) and Finn. Gavin and Finn are almost exactly 1 year apart. Finn looks like such a big boy. Finn was super tired, if you can't tell!
Dad telling another story. We always laugh because he always tells the same stories. We all have them memorized. He is such a grandpa.
Kyle with his mom and dad.
Brooke and Finn. Poor baby is so tired. Brooke looks beautiful as always! No fair. She takes such great pictures. It was so fun to see you guys. I am looking forward to WAP or the Zoo!
Me and my big boy! So silly. The only was to get Gavin to look at the camera is to make a silly face!
So funny...
Hi Greg!
Gav and Grandma.
Gavin with Brenna.
Gavin and Eric.
Gavin and Papa Joe.
Kyle and Coryne.

*Parker was already asleep for all of these pictures. I finally took the camera out at the end of the night. Poor buddy...next time! Thanks everyone for tolerating my annoying picture taking.

Pumpkin Patch!

We went to the pumpkin patch and we had so much fun! Sorry, in advance, this is the longest post ever! It was a Kodak moment! Enjoy....

The fam!
TRYING to catch a picture of the boys...almost...
....HELLO...please look at Mommy!.....
SERIOUSLY! Why is it sooooo difficult?
Parker so photogenic; Gavin...well another story! Never looks at the camera. So preoccupied.
Giving Parker a ride.
He said, "Hello nice goat, how are you?"
Happy as can be! The best!!!!
What is this thing?
Gavin was pretty gentle with the animals. Some pats were more like slaps, but all in all he was sweet.
"Come here chicken!" He must have chased this chicken all around the petting zoo. He finally said, "The chicken is too fast!"
Climbing up to go down the HUGE slide. He climbed all the way up. If you know Gavin, then you know how he climbs on and off everything, so not a big stretch for him. Good job Gav!
Sliding...he is so brave! I was impressed, I guess he is a big boy now...I just don't want him to get bigger. I love him at this age.
So excited!
Running off to get in line to do it again. Crazy! Who liked it more?....Daddy or Gavin?
"I want these pumpkins, okay!"Everything he says now ends with okay. Examples: "Daddy, I'm going to run, okay!"  "Mommy, I need a sippy, okay!" And the okay is dragged out, okayyyyyy!
Hey big boy!
He loved the hay, I know it is super dirty.....whatever! It will strengthen his immune system, right?
In the jumper tackling the big kids. These kids were so impressed with Gavin and his tackling skills. He is ready for tackle football. Pop Warner here we come, in like 5 years!
Thanks Parker for cooperating, Gavin open your eyes!!!!! Ahhhh....
