Firefighter Carnohan

May 11, 2012: The time has finally come! Kyle is an official Firefighter for Thorton, CO. It has been quite the journey, but well worth it. For the past 3 and a half years we (yes, I am crediting myself, as well for his accomplishment) have sacrificed, struggled, endured and perserviered through one of the greatest accomplishments of our lives. The past 3 and a half years have been hard. There were many times I wanted to throw in the towel and quit, but through many tears we keep going. There were many times when we didn't have enough money for gas, groceries, rent etc. and survived on pure determination and the help of many family members. We feel so extremely grateful for our parents who have been our greatest support, always willing to give us groceries, gas money and whatever else we needed. It has been a very humbling experience financially, from making $300,000, living in a great home driving an expensive car, having little stress to making $25,000, losing our homes, cars and financial freedom. I don't even know how we did it! I am so proud of Kyle and I can't wait for the future and an awesome schedule of 2 days at the firehouse to 4 days at home! Let the fun begin!
The boys timing Daddy put his turnouts on.

Uncle Erkie is home!!!!

May 9, 2012: Kyle's brother Eric  has been serving a mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for the past 2 years in New York City. He was an awesome missionary who served NYC with all his heart, and was privileged with many leadership roles as well. We are so proud of him and his selfless decision to serve the Lord for 2 years. We missed him so much, especially my boys. They love their Uncle Eric and love his playfulness and undivided attention he gives them. I missed my favorite Carnohan, besides Kyle! And Kyle missed his skateboard buddy, besides his other brother Ryan, and his sense of humor. We are so glad you are home, but bummed we missed your homecoming to San Diego.
He's BACK!

Gavin's Rock Climbing Class

May 2012: Gavin has always been a little climber, even before he could walk he was climbing all over the furniture, so we figured this was right up his alley. He loves to climb and is really good at it, as you can see.
 All ready to go!
There he is at the top!

Mother's Day!

This is a beautiful song and video by a girl I know who goes to our church. She is so talented. It is a great reminder to me to be the best mom I can be!

5 Months

April 30, 2012:
5 months old! Cooper is a happy baby that loves to snuggle and be held. If he is crying and upset, he just is hungry, tired or wants to cuddle. He loves to sleep and goes down so easily; all you have to do is walk upatairs go into his "room" and lay him down. He immediately starts to suck his thumb, and he is ready to go, not a peep. :) He loves to play in his exersaucer and jump in his jumper. He is a busy boy who is one spoiled, loved baby. We just can't get enough, especially his brothers.

Earth Day Scavenger Hunt

April 22, 2012:
We had a great Sunday hike through our trails around our house. The boys had to find:

•something fuzzy
•2 kinds of seeds
•2 pieces of litter
•something straight
•something round
•something smooth
•something rough
•2 types of leaves
•something that makes a noise
•a chewed leaf
•a beautiful rock
•something you think is beautiful
•a pine cone
•something green
•a stick
•something you think is a
treasure!

Highlight: We saw a dead fox! Which is very ironic considering the community we live in is called Fox Run!
Just what I needed.

"Mothers who know do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world’s goods in order to spend more time with their children—more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose ...(Julie Beck)
