GAVIN IS POTTY TRAINED!

3 months later...Gavin finally realized going potty was way better than having a yucky, wet diaper! We have been wearing underwear instead of diapers when we are at home for quite a while now...with plenty of accidents! I was on the verge of giving up, until yesterday! I always take his diaper off and put his underwear on when he wakes up. So we did that and he said, "I HAVE TO GO POTTY!" So I said (while I was getting breakfast ready), "Ok go, I will be right there." Then I heard, "Mommy I went poop!" I was thinking, sure you did. Then I went into the bathroom and HE DID! After that he went pee, and he even went to the movie with my mom and stayed dry! Today he went poop and pee when he got up all be himself! Could this be really happening? Is Gavin really potty trained?! I am so excited. Every time he goes on the potty, I start shouting with excitement, and he looks at me like, what is the big deal? Oh, if he only knew!
I wanted to give him something for doing such a good job on the potty, so I rummaged through the Christmas gift box and found these Spiderman sippys I was going to put i n his stocking. So there you have it!
It came with 2, so Gavin said Parker needed one too! Good sharing!

(Very distracted, as usual...he loves his new sippy cup!)

Christmas time is here again!

I love Christmas and can't wait to decorate and put up all the fun stuff. So the day after Thanksgiving I pull out the tree and all the decor. I know a fake tree...lame, but it is great with crazy Gavin and a crawling Parker...Okay! : )  Gavin really enjoyed himself. He was so excited to decorate the tree. He did a great job! The next morning he woke up and ran to the living room to look at the tree, and saw that the lights were turned off...he then ran into our room and shouted, "MOMMY YOU TURNED THE CHRISTMAS TREE OFF! TURN IT BACK ON!" Ok Mr. Christmas!
Excited to see his reflection in the ornament! Oh, the little things.
Very focused.
Who needs a latter with Uncle Eric around? So cute!
I ordered all the Christmas gifts (yes ALL, I am all done) on Amazon. Kyle saw his present and wanted to open it now. He might be a little disappointed on Christmas morning, but whatever. It is Iron Gym, a pull-up bar for the door. Super cool! We have been playing with it all the time. (me and Gavin)! Kyle has been using it every night. Good job!

Park FUN!

Gavin LOVES to go to the park...and I think Parker is beginning to understand the fun of it too. I had to catch them in action...so funny!

BIG boy!
This was after the picture below! Gavin realized it was ok to share.
"Mom get him out!" I was just cracking up...it was so funny that they could share a swing...kind of!
This kid can slide! Over and over again!
I love to eat! (bitter biscuit...love those rooting teeth!) He just broke a top tooth, the second top tooth is coming in too.

Bum Genius!

I am a hippie! I just decided to go with cloth diapers. I have always wanted to do it, but never really took action. I was at Target today, and they had these cloth diapers. They are "Bum Genius", and the best! I just finished washing my first load, and they wash perfectly clean. Gavin loves them too. He likes that they are colored and not just white. I encourage everyone to use cloth diapers, super easy and cheap! I wanted to save money on diapers, since we spend $60 a month on diapers. This will save us money.....YES! Give it a try!!!!

We had two Thanksgivings! Wednesday at my parents house, and Thanksgiving Day at our house. It was my first turkey and Thanksgiving. It turned out good, thank goodness! It was so fun to spend time with everyone and reflect on all the things we are truly grateful for...family! I love the holidays!
