Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy 30th Birthday to me! Just a normal day of poopie diapers, laundry, vacuuming, mopping, etc....until Kyle came home from taking his last test to finish off his year as a probationary fire fighter. We were out grocery shopping for our trip to Breckenridge and came home to find so many surprises! Kyle and the boys came up with 30 reasons why they love me. Kyle hid them all over the house for me to find. As I was reading them I was weaping. I have not felt that special and loved in a long time. Love my boys. They also got me snow boarding pants, can opener (ours broke), and a Roku (getting rid of our cable.) Then we went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, my favorite place...who knows why?....maybe it's the pesto salad dressing and spamoni ice cream. :) It was a great dinner until Cooper barfed all over. Poor buddy. I thing we got hit with the flu bug. :(

Great day now off to Breckenridge tomorrow to meet my whole family for a week if fun. Can't hardly wait.

Gavin "Star Student"

I am so proud of Gavin! He is a great kid and amazing student. His kindergarten teacher is always telling me she wishes she could have 24 Gavin's. He has never missed a day of homework, always keeps his behavior card green, and every weekly report home is 100%. I am a proud mom. :)

So he was so excited to be the "Star Student" for January. He was recognized at the monthly assembly and was just beaming. When he sat down with us after recieving his award, he said, "I can't stop smiling. I can't believe I'm finally the star student!" Love him and his humble attitude. :) We celebrated with Cold Stone after (his pick) in the 20* weather.

The Life as a Mom

I just figured I would post my schedule because one day I might find it interesting. It's crazy how busy I am and my kids are only 6, 4, and 1...what's my schedule going to be like in ten years when they are more busy?! This is what we did today, which is pretty average. Once a week I volunteer in Gavin's class. And most days I fill up my days with craft projects, cooking homemade meals and snacks and activities with the kiddies. Non stop!

6:30 alarm sounds, boo
6:45 wake up Gavin, drag him out of bed (the top bunk) and physically dress him like a baby because he is half asleep.
7:00 feed Gavin fast to get him to the bus.
7:15 drop him off at the bus stop
7:20 get home fold a load of laundry and put it away.
7:35 get Parker and Cooper up and dressed
7:50 shove food down their throats
8:05 get in the car to go to the gym
8:30-9:30 teach a TRX class at B Fitness
9:45 drop Parker off at preschool (late)
10:00 put Cooper down for a morning nap, eat breakfast
10:25 pick Gavin up at the bus stop (early release day)
10:30 take a shower and get ready for the day
11:30 pick Parker up from preschool
12:00-2:00 luncheon for my birthday with friends
2:20 get home, change and take the boys on a bike ride and me jog with Cooper in the jogging Stroller then go to the park.
3:30 leave for jiu jitsu
4:00-4:30 jiu jitsu
4:40 drive to the gym
5:30-6:00 teach Core at Lifetime
6:30-8:00 go to Young Women's at church, I am an advisor. (With the boys I give them dinner at church)
8:15 bath and teeth brushing
8:45 boys in bed and I attempt to watch American Idol, but fall asleep on the couch.
11:00 I go to bed and hope to be well rested for another busy day.

Denver Zoo

New Years Day fun at the zoo. The boys loved the lions, they were super active. We even got to see the zoo keepers feed them huge handfuls of raw meat. Amazing. We saw the sea lion show, saw hippos and rhinos, elephants, and cheetas, leopards and tigers. It was a great way to start the New Year. (25* weather, we are getting cold weather tough!)

Keystone

December 26: We headed up to the mountains for a fun day of snowboarding, snow caves, and snowballs.

Christmas Day

So much fun sleding, even in the 20* weather. A lot of the snow melted by the time we went, but it was still a blast. The boys got worked a few times, but got the hang of it by the end.

Right when Christmas dinner was done, I go to get the boys and they are all asleep. Go figure! I woke them up and we had a yummy dinner.
